Hi! I'm Null (they/them), creating games, music, and math as groupoids.

I currently work as an industry game developer at studios formerly under Square Enix West, though I also love to independently create puzzle games in many different mediums, from video games to puzzle hunts. I studied computer science at the University of Waterloo and won some awards in the Games Institute jams and events.

My music generally falls under the digital fusion umbrella, inspired by intricate jazz fusion, electronic production, and early video game music. I have always loved giving uncommon musical elements a chance to express themselves! I have led a jazz band and attended a couple Berklee Keyboard Summer Programs. I use Ableton Live and various game soundfonts. I also make the music for my games!

I fell in love with the pure mathematical side of my computer science degree, and I ended up taking multiple electives in abstract algebra before graduation. Now, I collect and study graduate math literature as a hobby, focused on algebraic structures but ranging widely across mathematical subjects. Sometimes I resolve or contribute to open questions, and investigate new mathematical objects.
